Mbarara City: Ssenyondo Rues Missed Chances

Mbarara City FC coach Brian Ssenyondo regretted missed chances after his side were held by Police FC on matchday three of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Mbarara City FC failed to pick maximum points away from home in a goalless draw with Police FC on Saturday at Mandela National Stadium.

The visitors created plenty of chances but were not clinical on the day before settling for a goalless draw and coach Ssenyondo said his team could have done better.

“Four points from three games is a worry,” Ssenyondo told the-SportsNation.com after the game. “We would have collected nine points but five are lost and we will build on that.”

“We created a lot of chances but lacked sharpness in front of the goal but next game we hope to convert as many as we can.

“We would have won the game because Police was just passing the ball and never looked a threat. I am disappointed with the boys but let’s build on that.”

The Ankole Lions have collected four points after matchday three – They beat Proline FC, lost to Villa before a goalless draw with Police FC.

Ssenyondo’s charges will return to action against Express FC on Tuesday at Luzira.
