SC Villa is positive ahead of their StarTimes UPL matchday four encounter against Police FC at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

Head coach Edward Kaziba and team captain Asuman Alishe believe that they have had enough preparations as a team to get maximum points off the visitors.

SC Villa has won once and lost the other from their two games – They lost 1-0 to Kyetume FC on the opener before beating Mbarara City on matchday two.

The side is yet to receive confirmation if they will get their three points and as many goals or a replay, after Proline FC failed to show up at Lugogo on matchday three.

“All my fellow players are ready to put up a good show,” noted SC Villa Captain Alishe. “We need maximum points, we lost to Kyetume FC but we ironed our mistakes and ready for three points.”

This will be Alishe’s third match as Villa captain since he was officially given the team’s armband before the start of the season.

Coach Kaziba, speaking after Namboole’s training on Monday evening, said;

“We have prepared very well. We have had a lot to learn since the season started and we are improving per game. We used matchday three time as our training session at Lugogo which was good for us to prepare more.”

Police FC are yet to win a game on the other hand. They never turned up for their league opener against Onduparaka, going on to be docked three points. They lost to BUL at Wakissha on matchday two and were held by Mbarara City recently at Namboole.

The Cops will notably welcome back Coach Abdallah Mubiru who has missed matchday three against Mbarara as he was with the Uganda Cranes at Kasarani for Kenya friendly.

Last season, both games ended in a draw when these two sides met. Charles Lwanga and Bashir Mutanda scored for Villa who ended the game a man less at Lugogo while Juma Balinya bagged a brace in a two all draw.

Balinya and Mutanda were on target in a one all draw at Namboole.

This will be the 18th league meeting between Villa and Police FC since 2010.

Villa has won six time, shared spoils nine and lost to Police FC only three times.
