Express FC team captain Disan Galiwango is positive that his side is going to win more games after they got off the mark with a 3-2 win against Mbarara City on matchday four.
Galiwango who recently went for trials in South Africa Supersport United), has urged all Express fans and well wishers to stay calm because they (players) are ready to lift up the team.
Hamdan Nsubuga, Frank Kalanda and a late Daniel Shabena strike saw for Express earn its first win while Hilary Mukundane and Jude Semugabi scored Mbarara’s two goals.
“I kindly request you to stay calm, we are going to left up the team. We are going to win more matches,” Galiwango noted after his team’s first win at luzira prison grounds.
“Almost all players are new on the team and young but that’s not the problem because it was the similar case last season but we played. I think we have been lacking confidence, combination and partnership but we are going to change.”
The skipper who deservedly won the man of the match award, had a very good performance, and he was involved in all the three goals which gave a win to Red Eagles.
He delivered a corner kick which resulted into goal number one which was an equalizer, he provided assist to Frank Kalanda who scored the second after tearing Mbarara’s defense and it was his shot which Ssekaba spilled before Shabena scored from a rebound.
It was Express’ first win this season as the side ended a three winless streak to relieve the pressure off coach George Simwogerere and the team in general.
