Mbarara City: Mukundane Asks Fans To Have Hope

Mbarara City FC captain Hillary Mukundane has asked club fans not to lose hope after the team lost a five goal thriller at Luzira Prisons.

Mbarara fell to Express 23 at home, which marked their second loss of the season in four matches so far.

Mukundane scored the first goal for Mbarara from a free kick before Jude Semugabi made it 2-2 but Daniel Shabena secured maximum points for the visitors at the death, a dagger for the Ankole Lions.

Hamdan Nsubuga and Frank Kalanda had given Express a lead after Mukandane had put Mbarara in the driving seat.

“I ask fans not to loose hope because we have just started the league, there are still many more games. We are going to win our next games I promise you that,” Mukundane commented after their encounter with Express at Luzira.

The result saw Mbarara City remain on four points from four games, with one win against Proline (3-0) and a goalless draw against police FC – The side had lost SC Villa on matchday two.
