University League: Busitema, UCU Set For Epic Clash

Busitema University will play host to visitors UCU in the University Football League first leg quarter final.

Busitema will seek to benefit from their home advantage to make the best out of the first leg.

The hosts brought in new signings to improve the team but they will miss out on Kibande Cyrus who joined Express FC.

The team’s head coach Namugenyi Dorothy has admitted that the services the defender will be missed but the team has enough options to fill the void.

UCU on the other hand, lost Ivan Sserubiri, Muhammad Lubega and Timoth Ayam to the Uganda Premier League.

“We are mentaly and physically prepared,” noted UCU captain Emmanuel Were. “We have failed to pass this stage five times but we want to break this misfortune.”

UCU has won three, and drawn once in all the four meetings against Busitema.
