CAF Confederation: Proline Face Kigali Hurdle

Proline FC will be targeting to skip AS Kigali hurdle in the first leg of the 2nd preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup 2019 at Kigali Stadium, Rwanda.

Proline FC are representing Uganda after winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup last season where they beat Bright Stars in the finals.

The side beat Malawi’s African Stars in the first preliminary round 3-0 on aggregate – Ivan Bogere scored an hat-trick at Lugogo before they picked a goalless draw in Malawi.

Proline FC will be returning to Rwanda for the second time this year after taking part in the CECAFA Kagame cup.

The Rwandan side on the other hand, beat KMC of Tanzania to reach this stage.

Coach Matia Lule will not be with new signing Edirisa Lubega Torres who scored against Onduparaka in the 1-0 league game, as he is not yet registered for this competition. However, veteran forward Hamis Diego Kizza has made the trip after missing out against Masters Security.

The Lugogo based will seek to put home worries aside, after they were docked six points in the league, to overcome AS Kigali.

Winner of this tie on aggregate will be one stage away from reaching the group stages.
