CECAFA U20: Uganda To Play In Gulu, Fixture Revealed

Hosts Uganda have been pitted alongside Sudan, Eritrea and Djibouti in group A of the 2019 CECAFA U20 Challenge cup.

All group A games will be played at the Pece war memorial stadium in Gulu. Uganda Hippos will open with Eritrea on Sunday, September 2019 before facing Djibouti and Sudan.

The tourney has three groups of four teams with the exception of group C that has three.

Two teams from group C and three each from group A and B will qualify to the quarters.

Group B and C will have their games at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

However, the Hippos have been training at Njeru under coach Jackson Magera.

Uganda have won the title three times – 2010, 2006 and 1973.

A – Uganda, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti
B – Kenya, Ethiopia, Zanzibar, Tanzania
C – Burundi, South Sudan, Somalia
