*Wakiso Giants 0-1 BUL FC
BUL Football Club managed to beat Wakiso Giants 1-0 on matchday five of the StarTimes Uganda Premier league.
The Visitors needed an own goal from defender Ibrahim Kiyemba to claim maximum points at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakissha.
Peter Onen’s charges came into the game seeking for a positive result after a 3-0 heavy loss against Busoga United in the Jinja derby.
The side made their intent known right from the start – James Otim came close to scoring but his effort went an inch wide off the post, Charles Sebutinde picked from Deogracious Ojok before he was denied the crossbar.
Kiyemba redirected Ssebutinde’s powerful cross into the wrong net at the stroke of halftime.
Hosts kept pilling pressure against BUL defence but all in vain even with the introduction of Kirizestom Ntambi.
The result sends BUL FC in 4th place with 9 points. This was the club’s third win after beating Express FC and Police FC.
Wakiso move are 6th on the log with seven points. This was their second loss after the one against KCCA FC on matchday one. They came into the game on the back of a one all draw with Bright Stars. They beat URA and Tooro.
BUL will be hosting Maroons at Njeru on October 1st while Wakiso visit onduparaka FC on the following day.
