The BIDCO sponsored team came into the game on the back of a 3-0 humiliating loss to Busoga United in the Jinja derby at Njeru.
“The loss against our neighbours was really haunting us and we needed to bounce back,” Onen said after the win against Wakiso.
“The hard work and determination ensured we come back with three points. Am happy with my boys for the strong performance they have displayed today.
“We are not participating in the league this season, we are actually competing.”
BUL were resolute at Wakissha as they defended tirelessly and they looked a threat going forward.
James Otim, Charles Ssebutinde and Deogracious Ojok had a good day but it was the backline of Denis Okot, Richard Matovu, Walter Ochora and Musa Walangira that managed to wither through the storm.
BUL FC sit fourth with nine points from five games – This was the team’s third win as they also beat Express and Police FC. They lost to Busoga and had their fixture against Vipers postponed.
