COSAFA U17: Girls Final Squad To Mauritius Named

Girls U17 National Team to represent Uganda at the 2019 COSAFA U17 championship in Mauritius has been named.

The team, posted on FUFA website, has is of 20 players – three goalkeepers, five defenders, six midfielders and as many forwards.

Uganda will leave on Wednesday for the tourney that is scheduled on September 20th to 29th, 2019.

Head coach Ayub Khalifa announced the final squad on Sunday evening immediately after the second practice match against FUFA Women Elite League select team at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The team has been training at Njeru and will be captained by Juliet Nalukenge.

Defenders – Akadinda Gilian (Olila HS), Atwine Precious (Upper Hill College), Musibika Stella (Kawempe Muslim SS), Akiror Patricia (Masaka SS) and Adokole Bira (Amus College).

Midfielders – Namaganda Zaitun (Taggy HS), Komuntale Sumayah (King of Kings), Nadunga Bira (Olila HS), Nakacwa Kevin (Uganda Martyrs HS), Nangonzi Maureen (Mukono HS), and Nakacwa Samali (Kawempe Muslim SS).

Forwards – Nalukenge Juliet (Kawempe Muslim SS) Najjemba Fauzia (Mukono HS), Nagadya Catherine (Katuuso Community SS), Kunihira Margret (Kawempe Muslim), Nyinagahirwa Shakira (Kawempe Muslim SS), and Nandago Hadijah (Kawempe Muslim SS)
