Uganda Netball Federation has named a team of 22 players that set for African Netball Championship in South Africa.
The team started training at Lugogo Hockey pitch on Monday morning under new coach Rashid Mubiru and his assistant Robert Kisitu.
Foreign based duo Peace Proscovia (Sunshine Lightening) and Mary Nuba Cholock (Loughborough Lightening) will be joining the team soon.
NIC’s Betty Namukasa returns to the team fold while Kaye Privas, Tausi Mumena, Sebi Nusurah are the other new faces.
Maimuna Namuwaya, Sylvia Nanyonga and Lilian Ajio are the players that have not made the cut despite representing Uganda at the 2019 Netball World Cup.
Uganda, ranked sixth in the World, will be targeting to defend their crown but will face tough resistance against hosts South Africa and Malawi.
