CECAFA U20: Hippos Final Squad Named

Uganda Hippos head coach Morley Byekwaso has named his final squad that will be playing in the 2019 CECAFA U20 championship.

The team has already left to Gulu where Uganda the hosts will be based.

The tournament will be hosted at two venues – the Fufa technical center in Njeru and Pece war memorial stadium, Gulu.

Uganda is placed in Group A alongside Eritrea, Djibouti and Brundi.

The hippos kick start the tournament on Saturday 21st playing against Eritrea at 4pm with Sudan playing Djibouti at 2pm in the opening fixture at Pece stadium.

It should be noted that Uganda are the defending champions after winning it in 2010.

*Goalkeepers – Jack Komakech, Dennis Otim, Patrick Mubiru

*Defenders – Kevin Ssekimbegga, Justine Opiro, Aziz Kayondo, Robert Kitabalwa, Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Kenneth Seemakula, Derrick Kiggundu

*Midfielders – Joseph kafumbe, Davis Ssekajja, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Bright Anukani, Steven Sserwadda

*Forwards – Sadat Anaku, Isma Mugulusi, Ivan Bogere, Ivan Asaba, Sadam Maseruka, Najib yiga
