All is set for the 2019 National Basketball League post season that tip off this Friday at Indoor Arena in Lugogo.
Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has on Thursday unveiled Next media and UAP Old Mutual Financial services as the new partners for the upcoming playoffs.
The two partners, unveiled during a press briefing on at UOC offices in Lugogo, join Tusker Lite who have a three year partnership with the Federation.
Next Media (NBS, Sanyuka TV, Next Radio and Nilepost) come on board as the official media partner and have promised to relay a selected number of matches, in a deal that will run for a year.
“We shall make efforts to ensure that the games run across all our media efforts, we assure you of the best coverage,” noted Moses Mafabi, head of Research at Next Media.
“Basketball is one of those key sports and we hope that the sport can influence all the youths out there. We promise to deliver the best.”
UAP, that deal in Investment and Insurance, come on board with Sh15M as an initial partnership – This will see each player of the match earn Sh100,000.
UAP’s Simon Mwebaze noted that basketball is one of the fastest growing sport and will be hoping to be part of this growth.
Warriors take on KIU Titans while KIU Rangers face Nkumba Lady Marines this Friday at Lugogo in the first quarter finals – City Oilers (Men) and JKL Lady Dolphins are the defending NBL Champions.
