UPL: Busoga’s Mighty Arena Cleared To Host League Matches

Busoga United have been cleared to host their league games at the Mighty Arena.

The ground, used by Busoga last season, had not passed the initial FUFA Licensing requirements and Busoga opted to host games at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

“FUFA Licensing Committee re-inspected The Mighty Arena-Jinja and found it to meet the minimum requirements to host StarTimes Uganda Premier League games and accordingly, Busoga United FC can host their home games at this ground with effect from 18th September 2019,” reads a letter in part, seen by this website from the league committee.

Might Arena is located within the Jinja SSS premises.

Busoga who visit Mbarara City FC on October 1, will host SC Villa at the Arena on October 5.

Abbey Bogere Kikomeko’s troops are seventh on the log with six points from six games. They beat Bright Stars (H) and BUL FC (A) at Njeru.

Tooro United and Onduparaka FC are the other clubs that were recently given green light to return ‘home’.
