*JKL Lady Dolphins Vs UMU Ravens – 2:30PM
*UCU Lady Canons Vs A1 Challenge – 4:30PM
*JKL Dolphins Vs Betway Power – 6:30PM

Betway Power and JKL Dolphins meet on Saturday in game one of the quarter final NBL Playoffs at YMCA court in Wandegeya.

Both teams ended with a 15-7 record in the regular season but JKL came fourth, a place above fifth placed Betway Power by virtue of a better head to head.

JKL won both clashes in the regular season – Henry Malinga’s side won 62-59 in the first round before taking a 85-77 victory in the second round.

Power will bank on quality and pedigree against a JKL Dolphins side who will be targeting a semi final spot for the second time in their club history.

Power who have won it five times, one below joint record winners Oilers and Falcons (six each), beat JKL Dolphins in last year’s semis to reach the final.

With Joseph Ikong, Syrus Kiviiri, Philip Ameny, Geoffrey Soro, Fahmy Ssebatindira, Brian Sivachi, Paul Odong among others, Arnold Lando has enough at his disposal to overcome JKL.

The Dolphins will hope for the best from Ivan Lumanyika who still has fresh legs after playing the last few games of the regular season after his return from a long layoff.

Malinga will however bank on regular season’s best performers Brian Muramba, Brian Namake, Joseph Wacha and Yesman Bushiri to replicate their form in the post season.

Elsewhere, Nicholas Natuhereza’s UCU Lady Canons take on sleeping Giants A1 Challenge while defending champions JKL Lady Dolphins, without Jamila Zama Nansikombi who left for USA, will have their title credentials on test when they face UMU Ravens.
