Vipers Official Wins City Tyres-Pirelli F1 Ticket

Vipers official Simon Ssekankya who doubles as the Managing Director of Hardware World has won a ticket to Abu Dhabi in a City Tyres – Pirelli draw held on Thursday in Kampala.

Ssekankya, under Hardware World, was the one of the two lucky winners on the day that will get an all expense paid trip to watch a live formula one race at the Yas Marina Circuit set on Sunday, December 1 2019.

The promotion that started on June 1 and will end in early November, requires customers to buy two pirelli tyres from the six City Tyres outlets, get a coupon to enter the raffle draw.

“I am excited about this offer, I can’t wait for this trip, it’s a dream come true for me,” said Ssekankya who was speaking on phone.

Cheap General Hardware is the other winner for a Yas Marina trip while Samuel Gira won himself a full car service at City Oil, among other winners.

Pirelli’s Batha Eugene and Christopher Uanier who were the official guests to witness the draw, commended Mandela group for their good work towards promoting sports and road safety.

City Tyres marketing manager Herbert Bashasha, speaking to the press during the draw, noted:

“This promotion is real and it continues to be exciting in this fourth edition and the numbers have continued to grow. A customer is only required to buy two pirelli tyres not four as it was in the previous editions.”

The Yas Marina Circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke and is located on Yas Island – a 2,550 hectares (25.5 km2) island on the east coast of Abu Dhabi.

The 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was the first major event to take place on the circuit and the first ever F1’s first ever day-night race.

The inaugural F1 race at Yas Marina was won by Sebastien Vettel of Red Bull Racing while Lewis Hamilton is the defending champion at Yas Marina having triumphed in November 2018.
