URA FC defender Yeseri Waibi adimitted that the team had a poor start in the season but he hailed the league break time for having helped them to rectify the mistakes done at the start.

“Going into the break we had bad results which was disappointing, we really defended poorly,” stated Waibi.

“But the break came at a right time, it has given us time and chance to prepare ourselves well and to rectify our mistakes done during previous games and we are still working so hard to see that we perform like we did last season.”

URA had a build up match against Big league side Katwe United which they won 2-0 thanks to goals from Brian Majwega and Shafic Kagimu.

The tax collectors have enough armoury, starting with the five players who featured for Uganda Cranes ‘Na Mutima’ team in Saturday in Adjumani – James Alitho, Patrick Mbowa, Ashraf Mandela, Said Kyeyune and Shafic Kagimu.

New signing Michael Birungi has not yet settled with the team, but will fancy facing Bright Stars at Wankulukuku where he played with Express FC last season.

Bright Stars Search First Win

Bright Stars on the other side, are yet to smell on a win this season.

They have managed to collect only two points from five games so far – They drew with Express and Wakiso Giants both at Wankulukuku.

A 3-1 opening defeat against Vipers plus two other losses against Busoga United and Maroons left coach Mohammed Kisekka scratching his head.
