Police FC will be going all out for maximum points when they face Kyetume FC on matchday six of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The Peace Keepers, yet to win a league game this season, are second from the bottom of the 16-team log.

Abdallah Mubiru’s side has played four games – drawn twice and lost as many – but were docked three points for missing their opener against Onduparaka. They have -1 (negative) point.

“We are well prepared for the game and we are looking forward towards having our first win of the season,” Abdallah commented ahead of the duel at Namboole. “Everyone is in better shape and we have no new injury worries. There is an urge to win.”

“Boys are committed towards getting three points tomorrow (Tuesday) and we believe by the grace of the lord we are going to get our first win.”

The Peace Keepers, who lost to BUL FC before holding SC Villa and Mbarara City, will feel that Kyetume FC who are newly promoted, is the team they should beat and will fancy their chances against the slaughters.

The team is expected to bank on Ssozi Yusuf who was man of the match in their last game against Villa, Johnson Odongo who scored the only goal the team has so far and star player Ruben Kimera who is yet to pick rhythm this season.

However, it remains to be known whether new signing Hood Kaweesi who returned to club recently, will be handed his debut.

Kyetume FC Buoyant

Kyetume FC set the tone with a 1-0 opening league victory against record winners SC Villa, but have collected only one point since then; a goalless draw with URA FC.

The side lost to Maroons FC in the other encounter, taking their tally to four points.

Coached by George Best Nsimbe, Kyetume FC are 12th on the log after playing four games.

The mukono based side have been a threat going forward and a hard nut to crack at the back thanks to a good goalkeeper in Joel Mutakubwa who is backed by a good experienced defence of Benon Tahomera and Mugabi Jonathan Dante among others.

This will be the first meeting between the sides in top flight.
