*BUL FC Vs Maroons – 4:30PM
(FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru)
BUL FC coach face Maroons on matchday six of the StarTimes UPL on Tuesday at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
BUL FC coach Peter Onen believes that his side has had enough preparations ahead of their matchday six encounter.
“We are ready for the game despite that we have had a long break, our preparations have always been progressive,” Onen said on Monday.
“We have had some friendly matches to see that we keep our winning spirit as a team and our major focus is to see how we can overcome the game.”
BUL FC, in preparation for the encounter, faced Bukedea FC twice – home and away.
Both sides – BUL FC (4th) and Maroons (3rd) – have collected nine points and winner (or draw) have a chance to go on top at least before SC Villa and Onduparaka play on Wednesday.
Farouk Banga’s strike last season gave hosts BUL a 1-0 win against Maroons and Onen’s side will be hoping for history to repeat itself on Tuesday.
Maroons Firing On All Cylinders
Maroons spent the whole of last season fighting to beat relegation and an opening 2019/20 3-0 league loss to URA hinted that the side will be facing similar woes.
However, three straight wins against Kyetume, Tooro and Bright Stars have brought back confidence and there has been a feel good factor at Luzira.
Douglas Bamweyana’s arrival was greeted with mixed reactions but what he has done so far, has proved that he was the right choice.
The coach will bank on his on form striker Stephen Mukwala to deliver at least a point on the road. Pius Obuya and Rashid Agau will also be instrumental as the side go out to face a BUL defence composed of the likes of Denis Okot, Richard Matovu, Walter Ochora and Musa Walangira.
