Robert Mukongotya scored twice as BUL FC registered a 2-0 win against Maroons on matchday Six of the StarTimes UPL at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru.
Mukongotya struck in the 18th minute before sealing the victory in the 90th minute to send BUL FC on top of the log with 12 points.
Onduparaka and SC Villa who host Wakiso Giants and Vipers respectively, will hope to reclaim summit with wins on Wednesday.
This was the club’s fourth victory after beating Express FC, Police FC and Wakiso Giants. Their only loss came against Busoga United in a Jinja derby, 0-3.
The loss ends Douglas Bamweyana’s impressive run that had seen the club, after falling 3-0 to URA in their opener, win three games – Kyetume, Tooro and Bright Stars – in a row.
Maroons will seek for solace against Onduparaka on matchday seven while BUL will seek to extend their form when they visit URA FC at Namboole.
