Untypical of Mike Hillary Mutebi, the KCCA FC gaffer swallowed pride and admitted that he lost to a more organised side.
Tooro United handed KCCA their first loss of the season on matchday six – The Lugogo based side, playing their third league game, fell 1-0 to Tooro United on the road.
In their first game at St Paul Seminary, Tooro had captain Mike Kawooya sent off while the visitors missed two penalties before Charles Musiige, was the man of the match, punished Mutebi’s side in the 74th minute.
“It was a good game, we did the all possible but we played an organised side when not having the ball, they defended well even when a man down they didn’t panic,” noted Mutebi after the loss in Fort Portal.
“In the end they got their chance on the break and punished us.”
On missing the two penalties by Allan Okello and Mike Mutyaba, Mutebi calmly said its part of the game.
“Its part of the game, those are our best players. I would be worried if we are not creating chances but we created them and earned genuine penalties but failed to convert them.
“The boys put up their all but we failed to have the ball past the net.”
Mutebi’s side after the Tooro lose now have six points from their three games played – a win against Wakiso Giants and Busoga United.
KCCA FC return to action on 5th October with a home game against Bright stars.
