SC Villa and Busoga United shared spoils on in a lunchtime kickoff game on match-day seven of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL.
The game which is the first to be played at Busoga’s Mighty Arena in the league this season, ended 1-1.
Boban Zirintusa put the hosts in the lead from the spot after Joel Madondo was brought down in the box in the 18th minute.
This is the second goal for Zirintusa for the club in the league – He scored his first against BUL FC at Njeru, also from the spot.
Madondo could have doubled the advantage but was denied by the crossbar.
Villa leveled matters in the second half with Emmanuel Wasswa on target, his first goal for the new Jogoo since signing from Ndejje University.
Wasswa had just come on in the 78th minute, replacing Amir Kakomo before he scored after Busoga’s poor clearance.
Busoga United, on seven points but winless in the last three games, will face Proline FC on October 8 at Lugogo.
SC Villa, on 12 points, will host Wakiso Giants on Wednesday.
