*KCCA FC 1-1 Bright Stars
A poor officiating decision headlined KCCA and Bright Stars draw at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on matchday seven of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL.
Bright Stars were left ruing and aggrieved at being denied a goal in the first half which crossed the line before protruding through the weak goal net.
Ronald Ssempala had his header go through a torn net but linesman Hakim Mulindwa signalled for a goal kick before the game ended goalless at the break.
Bright stars scored through Joseph Janjali heading from a tight angle to beat custodian Charles Lukwago three minutes inside the second half.
Substitute Steven Sserwada, who came on for off colour Simon Sserunkuma in the first half, found the leveller for the hosts, connecting from a Mustafa Kizza free kick.
The hosts looked a good value for the win but failed to bury their chances including Allan Okello’s effort that went an inch wide after beating Ronald Nkonge.
The Visitors also had Henry kiwanuka come close to scoring but had his shot off the target.
The garbage collectors, who lost recently against Tooro United, have now collected seven points from the four games played, but are winless in their last four games including a home and away draw against Petro Atletico De Luanda on the Continent. They will visit BUL in their next engagement.
Bright Stars who remain winless this season, will welcome Tooro United on Tuesday at Wankulukuku.
