BUL FC compounded KCCA FC misery with an overwhelming 3-0 victory on matchday eight of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda Premier League at FUFA Technical centre, Njeru.
Richard Wandyaka, Robert Mukongotya and Musa Esenu were on target for BUL FC, a club that is affiliated to Vegetable Oil Manufacturers BIDCO.
The result extends KCCA’s poor run that has seen the club go five games without a win, including double header draws against Petro Atletico De Luanda on the continent.
The victory, coupled with Onduoaray’s home loss to URA, sends BUL FC on top with 16 points while KCCA remain on seven points after suffering their second loss of the season.
BUL FC Ends KCCA Jinx
KCCA FC had beaten BUL home and away in the league for the last three seasons but the hosts had to fancy their chances this time against a struggling defending champion.
KCCA FC, without Allan Okello, would have come early on the score sheet but Abdul Kimera managed to keep out Mustafa Kizza’s freekick.
Sadat Anaku also missed from point blank range after Kizza’s initial efforf had ricocheted in their from the crossbar in the sixth minute. The youngster also headed off the target from Kizza’s delivery.
Wandyaka put BUL ahead with a tap in from Mukongotya’s low corner in the 34th minute and the latter doubled the advantage in the second stanza with a beautiful shot into the roof after collecting from James Otim.
With ten minutes on the clock, Musa Esenu who was deemed surprus to requirements at KCCA bundled in the third for the hosts with a low ball past Charles Lukwago after beating Peter Magambo to put the final nail in KCCA’s coffin.
BUL will visit Tooro United on match day nine while Mutebi’s troops will seek solace against remain 10th on the log against their favourite opponents Onduparaka at Lugogo.
