Frank Ssenyondo scored the only goal of the game as Express FC picked a successive league win on match-day eight of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL season.

The pint-sized forward tapped in from point blank range thanks to a beautiful cross from captain Dissan Galiwango at the stroke of halftime.

This was the third goal for the trick and fast forward this season.

The Red Eagles’ near perfect evening was however dealt with a huge blow after centre back Cyrus Kibande was stretchered off while goalkeeper Tony Kyamera finished the game limping.

The slaughters, coming into the game on the back of a 2-0 away win against Tooro United in Fort Portal, had their moments but failed to take up their few chances in a less eventful affair with Sharif Ssaka, Noel Nasasira and Sheif Batte all failing to beat Kyamera even with the introduction of Robert Ssentongo.

George Ssimwogerere’s side, who beat Police FC 5-3, have now collected 10 points. They have won three games, drew once and lost four.

Express visit Vipers in a TV game at Kitende this Saturday while Kyetume take on Bright Stars at Wankulukuku.
