Mbarara and Maroons will go all out to return to winning ways when they face off in the StarTimes UPL on Wednesday at Luzira Prisons ground.
Mbarara lost their last encounter 2-1 to Wakiso while Maroons have lost twice in a row against BUL and Onduparaka.
Maroons will be looking forward to avoid its third consecutive loss, their fourth of the season
Douglas Bamweyana who just won the accolade for best coach of the month courtesy of pilsner will miss the services of Mayanja David who is on suspension for having accumulated yellow cards and Bwogi Edgar who suffered a knock in their last game.
But they welcome back Eddie Kapampa and Fred Amaku who resumed training after recovering illness and injury respectively but they might be looked at as an late option since they be unfit for tomorrow game.
“We have been the better side in our last two games but it’s sad that results have not gone our way,” Bamweyana said recently after being named coach of the month of September. “We have corrected our mistakes and hopefully the boys can put away chances.”
On the other hand, Mbarara are 11th on the log with Eight points from seven games.
This will be the third game for new coach Paul Nkata who replaced Brian Ssenyondo at the helm.
Nkata who has used the same starting line-up in his two games, is expected to repeat the same trend against the Prison Warders.
They will continue to bank on Paul Mucureezi, Ibrahim Orit and Brian Aheebwa in search for goals.
Mbarara City won 2-0 home and away last season – Oriti and Makweth Wol scored for Mbarara at Kavumba while Ivan Eyam and Makueth scored at Luzira.
