KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has confessed that it will be difficult for his side to defend this year’s StarTimes UPL title.
KCCA lost their second league game of the season after a 3-0 humiliation against BUL FC in Njeru.
“Bul was efficient, they scored their goals. We created not so many chances and failed to take them away, in the end Bul who were more effective won the game,” Mutebi said.
“It’s not going to be easy defending the tittle given that we have now lost two games at the start but this is a marathon. It’s a disappointing start and we can’t be sorry for ourselves.”
When asked about his team selection, Mutebi who used Peter Magambo in the left back instead of Hassan Musana, commented:
“Those were the right players to play but when mistakes are done I don’t give excuses because they are players who have been playing.
“Its worrying that our strikers aren’t putting away chances but we will try to see that we overcome it.”
KCCA FC have now lost two games this season – the same numbers lost the previous season – and have collected seven points from the five games.
The garbage collectors will target return to winning ways when they host Onduparaka on Friday, a side they have beaten oftenly at Lugogo.
