Villa Vs Wakiso Giants: Jogoos Target Maximum Points

Wednesday, October 9
*Police Vs Vipers – Lugogo (4:30PM)
*Mbarara Vs Maroons – Luzira (4:30PM)
*SC Villa Vs Wakiso Giants – Namboole (8:00PM)

SC Villa will play host to new entrant Wakiso Giants on Wednesday on match-day eight under the Namboole floodlights.

Two points separate third placed Villa with Wakiso Giants in sixth place. The Purple Sharks will leapfrog the record winners who have acquired 12 points, with a win.

The Jogoos is one of the three teams yet to lose a game at home just like SC Vipers and KCCA. Wakiso Giants are yet to win an away fixture as it is the case for Mbarara, Bright Stars and Proline.

Villa, who have drawn their last two league games against Vipers and Busoga United, will seek return to winning ways.

The record winners whose assistant coach Ibrahim Kirya led Wakiso to UPL promotion last season, are set to welcome back David Owori who missed the one all draw with Busoga United after serving his suspension for accumulated yellow cards.

Kirizestom Ntambi who scored against Mbarara City after Tom Masiko had put the Purple Sharks in the lead, will miss together with Ayub Kisalita as the pair picked knocks in training.

“Its a tricky tie, they are on form and we will be without some players but we have enough who can replace them. I believe we are going to get positive results,” said Wakiso Giants coach Kefa Kisala.

Probable XI:

SC Villa – Said Keni, Ibrahim Kibumba, David Owori, Gavin Kizito, Asuman Alishe, Amir Kakomo, Nicholas Kabonge, Ambrose Kirya, Emmanuel Kalyowa, Charles Lwanga, Albert Mugisa
