KCCA FC will seek to bounce back when they host favourite opponents Onduparaka FC on Friday on match-day of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL at Lugogo.
The hosts are winless in the last three games and they will fancy a home game against Onduparaka, a team they have beaten on most occasions.
KCCA beat Onduparaka home and away last season, including a penalty by Patrick Kaddu to win 1-0 at Lugogo.
The Lugogo based side also beat the Carterpillars 3-1 in the Super Eight with Allan Okello scooping a brace to take his tally to seven goals against the West Nile side from as many games.
KCCA who have played five games, are 13th on table with seven points and have lost twice against Tooro and BUL; pressure will be on coach Mike Mutebi to deliver.
“We have had disappointing results of recent but we shall overcome and no one on the team is under pressure, we have to correct the situation by taking away chances so that we pick good results again,” Mutebi said in a briefing.
“We want to assure our fans that we shall comeback where we are supposed to be because we are not playing badly but we just don’t get results. We have been creating chances but unfortunately we fail to take them away and the end concede goals, but that happens and we have to see that we score goals and win matches that’s the solution.”
KCCA will miss the services of Muzamir Mutyaba.
Onduparaka, third on the log with 15 points from seven games, are visiting Lugogo on the back of their 2-1 loss against URA in Arua.
The Caterpillars had put up an impressive performance which saw them record four straight wins against Express, Busoga, Wakiso and Maroons.
They will bank on Wahab Gadafi who has scored in their two last games, Vitalis Tabu, Rashid Kakooza and Caesar Okhuti in quest to retain the top spot back.
