*Maroons 0-0 SC Villa

Maroons FC and SC Villa played a goalless draw at the Luzira Prisons ground on match-day nine of the 2019/20 StarTimes UPL.

Both sides settled for a draw in a less eventful affair of few clear cut chances.

Villa’s disallowed goal when Charles Lwanga was judged to be offside, was the biggest highlight of the game.

The stalemate, fourth for Villa in nine games, leaves the Jogoos in third with 16 points while Maroons are sixth with 13 points.

Bashir Mutanda failed to capitalise on Edgar Bwogi’s mistake but he was denied by Hannington Ssebwalunyo. The shot stopper also kept out efforts from Amir Kakomo while Nicholas Kabonge slid on the ground when put through on goal.

The hosts had David Mayanja’s shot saved, Solomon Walusimbi and Rashid Agau both failed to bundle home their chances.
