Coach Abdallah Mubiru is rightly proud of his efforts after helping Uganda Cranes secure their place at the forthcoming 2020 CHAN for the fifth successive time.
Fahad Bayo, Viane Ssekajugo and Allan Okello scored a goal each as Cranes won 3-0 at Lugogo to seal a 6-0 aggregate victory.
The victory against Burundi headlines a successful campaign for the outgoing coach who oversaw seven games without a loss – won 4 and drawn 3.
“First of all, I thank the almighty Allah who has guided us throughout, we believed this because we knew with God everything could have happened and our target was to qualify for the final tournament,” the Police FC coach noted.
“We came in the game with a 3-0 win and there was no need for us to open up. We needed to manage ourselves well.
“I end this with a thank you message to the players, fans, Federation and the media who believed in us from the start.”
