Uganda Cranes’ tricky winger Abdul Lumala could not hide his emotions after he was taken off very early as his side Pyramids FC laboured to a 3-2 away win against El Entag el harby in the Egyptian Premier League.
Lumala who joined Pyramids at the start of the season following an impressive show with Uganda Cranes at 2019 AFCON, paved way for Islam Issa in the 39th minute.
The former Syrianska player lazily stormed the bench where he kicked a bag that hurtled to one of the nearby coaching staff to compound the ugly scenes.
A minute later, Abdallah El Said gave Pyramids the lead before Traore doubled the advantage at the stroke of halftime for Sebastian Desabre’s side who temporarily went atop with 11 points after five games.
Lumala later took to social media where he admitted to the inexcusable behaviour:
“I would like to apologize on behalf of my team mates and technical staff and our fans it’s not acceptable am very sorry,” he tweeted.
“As I wrote earlier am sorry though people will start to judge but those who know me as a person am not that kind of person who gets that angry what I did was a stupid reaction from me i accept I didn’t actually kick anyone. And it won’t happen again am a professional player. sorry.”
