CAF Confederation: Proline Name Squad For Al-Nasr Tie

Proline FC has revealed their 17-man Squad to face Libya’s El-Nasr of Benghazi in the first leg of the last round of CAF Confederation cup qualifiers.

Uganda cup champions play Libyan Champions El Nasr in the first leg on Sunday 27th at Burj Al Arab stadium in Alexandria Egypt not Alexandaria Stadium as it was initially scheduled due to security reasons.

The named squad saw Okiringi Andrew, Kintu Sam and Sula Sekamwa who appeared in last game against As Kigali dropped and new faces of Arnold Sserunjogi and Joshua Ocen introduced.

The encounter is going to be officiated by Sierra Leone’s country men in Daudu William as center referee, Michael Conteh and Alieu Sandy Musa as assistants, Raymond Koker as Fourth official while Eritrean Kidane Melles Terfe as the Match Commissioner.

This is the first of the last two games for acting coach Matia Lule who, just like his predecessor Shafic Bisaso, moved on for other engagements overseas.

Proline, debutants on the continent, are yet to loose a game in the competition having won two and drawn the other in four games they have so far played in the first two preliminaries against Masters Security and AS Kigali.

Proline eliminated Master Security of Namibia by 3-0 on aggregate after two legs before eliminating AS Kigali of Rwanda on 3-2 aggregate to reach this stage.

But the Lugogo based side will be with a reason to worry after loosing their striker Ivan Bogere who is rumoured to have left for green pastures else where.

Bogere has scored five out of to six goals the club the club has in this year’s Confederation cup – Having bagged a hat-trick and a brace against Master Security FC and As Kigali respectively here in Kampala.

However, the club will look up to Bright Anukani who scored the only away goal the club has and goalkeeper Matovu Hassan who made tremendous saves against AS kigali for what promises to be a daunting task.

On the hand, Al Nasr SC Benghazi who seem to be the tie favorite due to experience, are going to be playing their first game in CAF confederation cup after being knocked in CAF Champion league where it started this season.

Al Nasir dropped to Confederation Cup on the expense of Raja Casablanca FC of Morocco who ended their journey to CAF Champions league group stage after 4-2 win on aggregate over two legs

Earlier, Al nasr had eliminsted TempĂȘte de Mocar of Central African by 3-2 goals on aggregate before falling out to Raja.

Midfielders: Bright Anukani, Noordin Bunjo, Arnold Sserunjogi, Ibrahim Wamannah, Joshua Ocen Okiror, Mandela Joseph.

Forward: Kiwanuka Hakim, Hamis Kizza.
