Big League: Katwe Sack Hassan Mubiru, Name Replacement

Katwe United FC have parted ways with head Coach, Hassan Mubiru on mutual consent, it’s official.

“The Club is highly appreciative of his immense contribution towards positioning Katwe United FC as one of the country’s leading football clubs. We wish him success in his next endeavours,” reads a statement in part from the Big League side.

The development follows the club’s dismal start in the ingoing Big League campaign that saw the Tulibanyuvu side suffer a humiliating 4-1 loss to Dove All Stars on Monday at Lugogo.

The result left the Allan Ssewanyana-bankrolled team in seventh in the Elgon group with four points.

In relation, Katwe have consequently announced the acquisition of coach Allan Kabonge.

“Kabonge is a CAF ā€˜Cā€™ licenced Coach, comes with a vast experience, having guided over four Clubs to being elevated into the Country’s top flight.

In line with our main objective of playing in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League next season, Kabonge has been tasked to direct his efforts towards achieving that objective.”
