UPL: Police Come From Down To Beat Wakiso

Police FC came from a goal down to beat Wakiso Giants 2-1 in a league game played at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Viane Ssekajugo put Wakiso in the lead when he received a neat pass from Hassan Ssenyonjo to shoot far from Davis Mutebi’s reach.

Hood Kaweesa and Pius Kaggwa were on target as Abdallah Mubiru’s side returned to winning ways.

Kaweesa tapped in from Kagwa’s ball to tie the game before the latter daggered the sharks in the 90th minute.

Muwadda Mawejje had his effort hit the post as Wakiso looked to take an early lead while Ibrahim Kiyemba also had a shot off the target.

Goalscorer Kaweesa had his shot go over the bar and later saw his goal cancelled when he was judged to be offside. Kagwa and Yusuf Ssozi’s header where both denied by the woodwork for the posts.

Police FC remain second from the bottom with five points and will visit maroons before hosting URA.

The Purple Sharks remain eighth on the log with 13 points and will play wounded Express before visiting Vipers.

Elsewhere, Vipers strengthened their grip on the summit with a 2-1 win against Kyetume. BUL and Bright Stars shared spoils while Busoga stunned Express to win 2-1 at Wankulukuku.
