Express FC head coach George Simwogere was clearly frustrated in the wake of his side’s 2-1 loss against Busoga United.
The coach put the blame on a poor soggy pitch after Frank Kalanda’s goal proved not enough at Wankulukuku.
Boban Zirintusa and man of the match Joel Madondo were on target as Busoga picked maximum points to pile pressure on troubled Ssimwogerere.
Betway Muteesa II stadium nearly looked like a kraal following a monday morning heavy down pour which stimulated the damage caused by a big crowd that attended Bukedde TV’s ‘Embutu y’embutikizi’ on Sunday.
“First of all the condition of the pitch doesn’t allow players to play, it was very hard because it does not favor any style of play so my boys have tried though we failed to win,” Ssimwogerere.
“But according to the pitch the boys have tried to play though they didn’t create enough chances and they are still young. We are going to push them so that they can do better next time as they build experience.”
The results means that Express has only managed to get one win out of the five games it has hosted at Wankuluku in this season having lost against SC Villa and Onduparaka.
Express remain 11th on the log with 10 points from ten games, fourteen points behind table leaders Vipers and only four points above relegation zone. The side will face Wakiso Giants on Saturday.
