Police FC head coach Abdallah Mubiru says his side is not safe and will keep fighting for more points after his side fought from a goal down to beat Wakiso Giants.
Hood Kaweesa and Pius Kaggwa gave Police their second league win canceling out Viane Ssekajugo’s early strike as the Purple Sharks squandered a lead.
“We knew it from the start that it will be a tough game but we had to fight for the win because a loss would leave us in a very dangerous state in our bid to jump out of relegation zone,” said Mubiru. “I’m happy for the boys because they responded positively to see we get the win.”
“We got a tactical problem in the game trying to get the best from our players with that player who could drive the ball to the opponent so we can get that touch to kill off the game,we had an early substitution of Odongo who didnt bring it out but still even fahad kizito didn’t do it as expected untill we got Pius in that position.
“This good surface (artificial turf) facilitates our style of play and if we had good playing surface, it motivates the players on giving their best.”
Mubiru’s side are still in the red zone despite win against Wakiso but will want to keep their winning form as they play Maroons next in the league.
