University Football League Final Postponed

Final: UCU Vs St Lawrence.

The Eighth edition of the University football league final has been postponed till further notice due to poor state of hosting venue Namboole Stadium.

The final was scheduled for Sunday, November 3 between Uganda Christian University which eliminated Bugema and St Lawrence University which knocked out 2017 champions Uganda Martyrs University in the semis.

Namboole management requested all the pending football activities that were supposed to be held at the venue to be put on hold as they try to refurbish the pitch which will house Uganda Vs Malawi AFCON fixture on November 17.

The pitch is under poor state following recent heavy rains and the Buganda Masaza cup final which were played on Saturday.

The Organizing committee is however, in the process of securing an alternatives venue and date.

Both UCU and St Lawrence will be playing in their first final. Kyambogo University are the defending Champion after defeating Kampala University in an epic final which ended in spot kicks of 3-2 after a two all draw.
