Busoga Vs Vipers: Venoms Search For Rare Away Win In Jinja

Saturday, November 2
*Busoga United Vs Vipers – 4PM

Vipers will put their unbeaten run on the line when they visit Busoga United in what has always been a difficult trip.

Jinja has not been a good hunting ground for the Venoms. They have not beaten Busoga United in their three visits in the league.

Anthony Mayanja scored just before the hour mark to give Kirinya Jinja S.S then maximum points at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja in 2017.

The teams drew one all the following season while last season, it was a two all draw with Vipers failing to beat Busoga who had goalkeeper Didi Muhammad sent off. Joel Madondo scored a brace for Busoga while Noah Wafula and Dan Sserunkuma’s penalty proved not enough.

Ahead of Saturday’s encounter, Vipers will feel that this is the right time to bury that recent jinx.

Innocent Wafula and Frank Zaga Tumwesigye are ruled out while Rahmat Ssenfuka and Brian Nkuubi have been added on match-day squad.

Vipers occupy top place with 24 points and are eight points above fifth placed Busoga United.
