Wakiso Vs Express: Kisala Seeks Vengeance After Bitter ‘Divorce’

Saturday, November 2
*Wakiso Giants Vs Express – 3PM

Wakiso Giants coach Kefa Kisala will be hoping to get revenge against his former pay masters Express FC when the two sides meet at Wakissha Resource centre’s Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso.

Kisala was fired by the Red Eagles midway through last season – in February, 2019 – and he was replaced by former teammate George Ssimwogerere.

The club reportedly asked Kisala to bring back the coaching track suit!

In bitter turn of events, the coach took to social media and expressed his discontent with the way his former club handled the matter, adding that he is also ready to take back the medals he won at Wankulukuku during his playing career.

Kisala who had joined Express after resigning from BUL, lost 2-0 against Police and this was his last game at the club which he left in 10th place with 21 points after 17 games.

In his first training at Wankulukuku with his new team, Ssimwogerere spared some time to take a dig at Kisala.

“I believe that Kisala is a good coach, but he didn’t have a commanding language. He (Kisala) is soft and that was his playing style,” Ssimwogerere said. “He had made these good players very lazy. Imagine we had just two shots on goal against Police! Really?”

Can Wakiso Overcome Red Eagles

Coincidentally, Kisala’s last game with Wakiso Giants has been with Police FC. The Purple Sharks squandered a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 at Lugogo.

They find themselves in 7th with 13 points, three points and as many places above the embattled visitors who lost to Busoga United at home.

On paper, Wakiso with the likes of Yasin Mugabi, Hassan Wasswa, Hassan Ssenyonjo, Viane Ssekajugo among others, look a more decent side than Express.

Express FC’s Frank Kalanda has four goals just like Viane Ssekajugo, but it remains to be known if the Wakiso defence can contain Disan Galiwango and starlet Frank Ssenyondo but the Purple Sharks tick the right boxes with the return of defender Fahad Kawooya after serving his red card ban he received against SC Villa.

Emmanuel Baffoe, Mathias Muwanga, Cyrus Kibande and Hamdan Nsubuga are sidelined for Express.
