UPL: Express FC Thrash Wakiso Giants

Express FC made light work of Wakiso Giants with a commanding 3-0 away win at Wakissha Resource centre.

The Red Eagles’ attacking trio of captain Disan Galiwango, Frank Kalanda and Frank Ssenyondo gave George Ssimwogerere’s side maximum points.

This, is Express’ fourth league win after previous victories against Mbarara City, Police and Kyetume.

The Red Eagles have now collected 13 points level with Wakiso Giants.

Galiwango gave the Red eagles an early lead in the 13th minute after his shot was slightly deflected goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi.

Express, with their second shot on goal, doubled their lead through Frank Kalanda to bag his fifth goal of the season. He collected from Ssenyondo who had earlier beaten defender Swaib mudde.

Daniel Shabena had his shot go over the bar at the halftime mark.

Wakiso’s first chance came fell on Geoffrey Sserunkuma after a loose ball from custodian Tony Kyamera but his powerful shot went begging.

Express’ Shafik Avemah had his shot deflected by Hassan Dazo Wasswa before Frank Ssenyondo scored the third for Express FC.

Express FC welcome URA FC in their next fixture as Wakiso visit table leaders Vipers SC in their next league fixture.
