Express will play host to Maroons at a neutral ground and under unfavourable conditions on match-day 12 of the StarTimes UPL on Tuesday.

The encounter has been moved to FUFA Technical centre in Njeru following FUFA’s ban on Muteesa II Stadium from hosting UPL games until further notice this season.

To accommodate the fixture, this game will be played at lunchtime – 1PM to be exact – before Police Vs URA encounter which will be played on the same venue as well.

The Red Eagles will be banking on their recent momentum after thrashing Wakiso Giants 3-0 at Wakissha with Frank Kalanda, Frank Ssenyondo and Dissan Galiwango on target.

Express sit ninth on the 16-team log with 13 points, three places and as many points below sixth placed Maroons.

The game will see former Express coach Douglas Bamweyana face his former side and will fancy his chances at a neutral ground.

The last three league meetings between the two sides have all ended 1-1.

Express needed a late Tony Odur penalty after Martin Mpuga had brought down Brian Umony in the area, to cancel out Solomon Walusimbi’s early strike at Wankulukuku.
