Katwe United, reeling from abysmal performances, will be hoping to bounce back and return to winning ways when they host Mbale Heroes at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
This will be Allan Kabonge’s third game, and first at home, in charge since replacing Hassan Mubiru as the head coach.
Katumba Alex’s goal proved not enough as Katwe lost 2-1 to Bukedea at San Siro in Mbale in Kabonge’s first game.
Ibra Nsimbe bagged a brace as MYDA FC beat Katwe United 2-0 at Elgon View in Mbale to take Kabonge’s losing start to two games.
This, and a couple of bad results which were highlighted by a 4-1 home loss to Dove All Stars, have seen the ‘Tulibanyivu Club’ slip to rock bottom of Elgon group with 4 points out of a possible 15 points.
Eric Dhaira’s quality is never in doubt but has failed to live as advertised in goal while the other experienced players including Joel Male, attackers like Allan Tebusweke have to double their efforts if they are to overcome a solid Mbale Heroes side.
Previously knwn as Kiboga Young before change in ownership before this season kicked off, Mbale Heroes have picked out some good results along the way.
The side, coached by Richard Makumbi, are second on the log with eight points, four behind leaders MYDA FC who have played a game more.
The visitors, christened as the Surgeons, will bank on Luuka Okori who has scored in all their last three games. James Wambedde and Chika Sydney are the other players to look out for the visitors.
