*Mbarara City FC Vs Bright Stars – 4:30PM
Mbarara City will host their first league game at Kakyeka Stadium for the first time this season.
Kakyeka had failed to meet the licensing requirements before it was approve after second inspection on October 10.
Consequently, the club has been using Luzira Prisons grounds as ‘home’.
Coach Paul Nkata will be facing a big test at home when his struggling side welcome Bright Stars in their town.
Since Nkata’s appointment to replace Brian Ssenyondo, he picked a win against Busoga United in his first game before three losses and one draw.
He will be under scrutiny after losses to Maroons, Wakiso Giants and Tooro. They picked a point against URA.
Mbarara City FC, christened as the Ankole Lions, are in 13th position, just above the red zone, with 9 points from 10 games.
They sit above Bright Stars who have collected 9 points from 11 games.
Mbarara have scored 12 goals this season but have managed only two from their last four games – They will need attackers Paul Mucureezi, Ibrahim Orit and Brian Aheebwa to step up their performance to step up on homecoming.
Bright Stars will be buoyant, coming into the game on the back of their first league win when they beat tricky Onduparaka 1-0 at FUFA technical center, Njeru.
The side, coached by Mohammed Kisekka, has drawn six games – the highest this season – out of 11 and a point off Mbarara on Wednesday looks within their reach.
Coach Kisekka is expected to stick to the starting 11 which beat Onduparaka last Saturday with much trust in goal scorere Muhammed Kyeyune and new signing Gabite Hamis who was man of the match.
However, they are still likely to miss the services of key player Junju Methodius who been out in their last two games.
Last season, Augustine Kacancu’s strike was not enough as Bright Stars lost 2-1 at Kakyeka. Goals from Paul Mucureezi and Karim Ndugwa gave the hosts a 2-1 win.
