Uganda Premier League Fixture Adjusted

Uganda Premier League secretariat has adjusted the league fixture due to the Uganda Cranes engagement, it is official.

The national senior men’s team will play Burkina Faso and Malawi in AFCON on November 13 and 17 respectively while a team of mainly local based players have a Regional Tour to Katakwi scheduled on November 9th.

The adjusted fixtures involve clubs with players who were summoned on the national team.

This follows article 19(26) of FUFA Competition Rule which gives a right to any club not to play any game if at least three of its players have been summoned for National duties.

URA FC Vs Express and Maroons Vs Viper SC which were supposed to go underway this weekend, have been postponed.

KCCA has requested to play their fixture against Police FC despite having their players summoned for the national team duty.

Charles Lukwago, John Revita, Samuel Kato, Mustafa Mujuzi, Muzamir Mutyaba, Allan Okello and Nicholas Kasozi will not be with KCCA.

URA’s players summoned for the regional tour include James Alitho, Paul Mboowa, Shafiq Kagimu, Joachim Ojera and Ashraf Mandela.

Vipers’ Paul Willa, Halid Lwalilwa, Allan Kayiwa and Fahad Bayo were summoned for the regional tour game.

Onduparaka FC Vs SC Villa that was scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 17 has been moved ahead by one day to Monday, November 18.

KCCA Vs URA earlier postponed has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 20 at Lugogo.

Maroons Vs Vipers has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 20 at Luzira Prisons grounds.
