Second placed Bul FC will be aiming at narrowing the gap between leaders Vipers atop when they host struggling Mbarara city FC on their return to the Bugembe stadium.
Peter Onen’s charges had made FUFA Technical centre in Njeru a fortress, winning four, drawing one and a loss to Busoga United.
However, the return to Bugembe after the stadium was cleared to host league games is a major boost as the place’s location is easily accessed by their fans.
The hosts who have won seven of their 12 games played, have 24 points, six below leaders SC Vipers and a win will cut the gap to three points.
Mbarara on the other hand, are also fighting for their dear lives and could finish the say in the red zone if they fail to beat BUL and other results go against their way.
The Ankole Lions have collected 10 points and a recent return to Kakyeka yielded just a point off a goalless draw with Bright Stars.
Last season, BUL came from a goal down to beat visiting Mbarara 3-1 who had Ronnie Kisekka sent off. Makueth Wol put the Ankole Lions in the lead but goals from Richard Wandyaka, Timothy Owori and Douglas Owori ensured maximum points for the hosts.
