Coach Jackson Mayanja Sacked

Tanzania club Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) has sacked head coach Jackson Mayanja.

The Ugandan tactician was sacked a after a string of poor results, the club has confirmed.

Mayanja had signed a one year contract with the Tanzanian outfits, joining from Kyetume FC in Uganda, a club he had helped to earn promotion.

He leaves KMC in 16th with eight points from as many games. He had succeeded Etienne Ndayiragije who joined Azam FC.

KMC had bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup after a 2-1 home defeat at National Stadium in Dar es Salaam against Rwanda’s AS Kigali.

A 1-0 defeat to Azam FC in their opening league game mounted pressure to Mayanja who had previously coached Tanzania clubs like Kagera Sugar, Coastal Union and Simba.

He has also coached Ugandan clubs like URA FC, Bunamwaya FC, KCCA FC among others.
