Onduparaka FC coach Livingston Mbabazi is set to be renamed Mbarara City FC coach, The-SportsNation.com sources have learnt.
The Onduparaka tactician is expected to throw in a towel at the Arua based club that has struggled financially of recent.
He has met with Mbarara City Club president Hon Mwine Mpaka on Monday morning in a meeting held at Kati Kati, and a deal has reportedly been reached.
Mbabazi left Mbarara City last season, terminating his contract that still had a one year running.
The Ankole Lions have recently parted ways with head coach Paul Nkata who had replaced Brian Ssenyondo after a string of poor results.
Ssenyondo handled Monday’s training session at Kakyeka and the club has also reached Wasswa Bbosa for the vacant job.
Mbarara sit 13th with 13 points while Mbabazi’s Onduparaka occupy fourth with 23 points.
The two league outfits – Mbarara City and Onduparaka FC – are set to meet on Tuesday at Kakyeka.
