Busoga Vs Maroons: Wounded Hosts Seek to Bounce Back

Busoga United will be seeking return to winning ways when they play host to Maroons FC at the Mighty Arena in Jinja

The hosts come on match-day 14 occupying seventh place with 16 points having lost seven, winning only five and drawing one.

Maroons on the other hand, are fifth with 17 points after winning five and drawing twice from 11 games.

Busoga United were 2-1 losers to Wakiso Giants in their previous game despite taking the lead through Abubaker Otwau.

The loss was the third in a row for Busoga who had lost to Kyetume and Vipers, all conceding in the last minutes of the game.

The side will continue to be without target man Joel Madondo as he lost his brother! Burial is on Tuesday at 2PM. He missed Wakiso game while he was with Uganda Cranes in a regional tour in the North East.

Boban Zirintusa, Bagoole and Dan Ssewava are expected to trouble Douglas Bamweyana’s Prison Warders.


Maroons have lost once (1-3 KCCA) in their last five games. They beat Mbarara City and Police FC. They have two draws against SC Villa and Express.

Forward Steven Mukwala who has bagged seven goals this season will be the main man to lead maroons.

Last season both games ended goalless when the two sides met.
