 Police Vs Tooro: Embattled Sides Seek To Bounce Back

Wednesday, November 13
*Express Vs KCCA – 4PM
*Villa Vs BUL – 4:30PM
* Police Vs Tooro – 4:30PM

Struggling sides Police and Tooro United will be hoping bounce back when they face off at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.

Hosts Police FC who were docked three points for their failure to play Onduparaka FC in their league opener are 15th on the log with just five points.

Tooro United who has seen Club Coach Wasswa Bbosa, Club CEO Moses Tusiime and PRO Shaban Lubega resign, are 12th with 14 points, just four above the red zone.

The Cops are without head coach Abdallah Mubiru who is on national duty while Samson Kayongo has also been ruled out because of accumulated yellow cards.

Andrew Samson Kigozi returns after serving his red card suspension and with the attacking prowess of Yusuf Ssozi, Ben Ocen and Hood Kaweesa will be key for the Kops going forward.

Police issues all along have been at the back – Goalkeeper Davis Mutebi, defenders Henry Katongole, Denis Rukundo, Arafat Galiwango and Joseph Ssentume have all failed to live as expected.

Police FC have lost their last three games – KCCA, URA and Maroons – but will fancy their chances against a team coached by Eric Ndifuna.

Tooro have managed one win from their last six games and it’s not known how motivated the players are when facing an attacking Police FC side.

The side will hope for the best from captain Mike Kawooya and his defence as Charles Musiige, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Yafeesi Mubiru and Frederick Kigozi carry the scoring burden.
